We are experienced breeders of champion and pedigree Dalmatians and Weimaraners, based at a small, friendly family-run kennel in South Yorkshire. Our dogs are part of our family and we breed for quality and temperament. If you need any help or advice about either breed, or would like to know more about our breeding lines, please don't hesitate to contact us for a chat.
Morgan is very special to us as she contains, Micky, Domino and Pebbles in her pedigree. She has the most adorable and cheeky temperament, and spends most of the time sitting like a princess, hence her new nickname. Her sire is our very own Micky and her son is our Ozzy. Our daughter has part taken over showing Morgan.
"Richardson's Klarkeson Driven By You Via Mapplewell 7 month old B/S bitch. Delightfully feminine bitch that shows a lot of promise, particularly on the move. Good front and is balanced in bone for her size. Nice tight cat feet and excels in her length of neck, head and ear shape and length of muzzle. She won this class on her movement which was good front and rear particularly for one so young. Her spotting is mixed with ticking, but her other considerable attributes out way this. A very happy puppy that showed really well."
Micky is our first homebred boy. He has a fantastic temperament, a great character and is a wonderful dog to live with - a true gentleman. Micky is BAER hearing tested normal, and has produced some fantastic children.
Micky has had a fantastic show career. He was a pleasure to show, ending his very successful career at the young age of 3 with 41 wins at championship and Breed Club Shows, 3 CC's, 3RCCs and his JW gained at 11 months, plus several BPIS & BIS and Group placings at open show level. Who knows where he would have taken me next! He however remains at stud, and continues to pass on his fantastic temperament and his great movement. His children are now in the ring and we love to be part of their success. We are looking forward to the future with Micky's grandson, Mapplewell Dynamite.
"1 Richardson's CH Mapplewell It Takes Two JW, really fine carriage dog well distributed black spots on pure white coat, excellent make & shape, good reach of neck. correct brisket & bend of stifle, lovely head, well set ears, really dark eyes with delightful expression, moved beautifuly both behind & in front, sweeping round the ring, really covering the ground, looking as though he could go forever. CC"
Benny is our home bred boy, bred here at Mapplewell in 2013 he has the most adorable temperament and is a pleasure to own - we've had so much fun with him already.
He is a very loyal, fun dog and makes us laugh a lot! His Grandad is Sh Ch Morganna Millerson one side and all Gunalt the other half of his pedigree, lots of champions in his pedigree and we are looking forward to his future.
Benny will be hip scored In the future. He will be available at stud to approved bitches only.
Ozzy is the newest member and was bred here a Mapplewell. Ozzy is liver and white. He is such a good boy, and a very pleasant young man, such a lovely character and has fit in to this family very well.
Ozzy's pedigree contains all of our own dogs within his pedigree and some fantastic well known dogs CH Washakie Chief As Great As, Konavlje Spot Borris, CH Tollwood Lionel At Kildandy, CH AM CH Dancing Brave and so many more great dogs.
We are very lucky to have such a lovely litter, we look forward to his and his litter mates' success in the future.
Pebbles was our second addition to the family and was bred by Margaret Kembrey. She is lightly shown but has gained many awards and 1st placings at open and championship level. Pebbles is a very sweet bitch who loves her comforts, she has a very big character and loved showing, she was the noisy one of the family.
Pebbles was tragically taken in April 2011.
Pebbles, you were such a character, you were loved by so many, and we are so lost without you. Go find Domino at the Rainbow bridge. We love you, miss you and will never forget you.
Domino lost her fight against a brain tumor on 29th December 2007. Domino was the start of Mapplewell, she won her breed with BOB at Crufts in 2001, and down the the last 8 in the group. She became a champion in 2005, also sired our young boy Micky and our first homebred champion. She won 3 CC's and 5 RCC's, not bad for our first ever show girl. The decision to let her go was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but she's at peace now, and very very sadly missed here at Mapplewell. We love you, miss you and will never forget you.
"A lovely sound and honest bitch of good proportions. Attractively spotted b/w with deep pigment. Alert, kind expression with very good eye colour. Smooth clean lines from her neck into her withers, good shoulder angulation. Excellent forequarters and nice tight feet. Deep chest and adequate length of loin. Good tail set. Well defined rear quarters and good bend of stifle. Was presented in well toned condition. Her movement was positive with plenty of rear drive displaying power but maintaining her elegance. I had no hesitation in awarding her the CC. Together with my Co-Judge I was pleased to award her Best in Show."
Fudge is our first homebred Liver in the family and is litter sister to Micky (CH Mapplewell It Takes Two JW). She is owned and lives with my mum.
Fudge has got a heart of gold, she's full of life and a pleasure to be around. Fudge has the biggest smile ever and she never stops smiling.
